A :class:~cadjoint.fem.tetmesh.TetMesh that came from Gmsh.

Everything downstream of a mesh — the solvers, BC resolution, VTK, inspection — sees a TetMesh. What is added is the ownership record the node_map kind needs to move the nodes, and the name of the mesher, so :class:~cadjoint.fem.simmesh.SimMesh and :mod:cadjoint.optimize can tell that this mesh does not follow the design through :func:~cadjoint.fem.motion.recompute_tet_points.
