materials.pla()

PLA (polylactic acid) — the default FDM printing plastic.

Bulk / injection-moulded values. A printed FDM part is anisotropic and porous: expect roughly 50–70 % of the quoted modulus and strength across layer lines, and lower still for sparse infill.
